Disputed US-backed Gaza Relief Group Concludes Aid Operations
The debated, American and Israeli-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) announces it is terminating its relief activities in the affected area, after almost six months.
The organisation had already suspended its several relief locations in Gaza following the halt in hostilities between Palestinian factions and Israel came into force recently.
The GHF aimed to bypass the UN as the main supplier of relief to Palestinian residents.
UN and other aid agencies would not collaborate with its approach, stating it was questionable and hazardous.
